This commercial site sells gear for the survivalist and emergency aware people. I've bought a few things from here, and the products, prices, and delivery are acceptable. I liked it better when they had a catalog, trying to browse the web site takes a lot of time.

If you're interested in Ontario Canada, these real-time webcams can show you what's going on, and what roads and weather are like as you watch. Can be valuable if you're planning a trip, or just interested in seeing what these places are like.

Not a bad site to try and track ancestors. It costs a small amount of money through to get some information. The new Passenger List feature allowed me to find my grandfather as a passenger and fill in a blank regarding his movements as a young man. Well worth the cost I thought.

The start of a thread of a problem with writing to 16X DVDs, and the whole area of DVD Firmware Flashing. See response 3 for links. Led me to 16 sites with information and tools that may solve my problem of writing to 16X DVD with a 8X DVD drive. Best solution may be to buy up lots of 8X DVDs while they're still available.

This is a commercial site for authors that absolutely must see their work in print, and are willing to pay for it. If an author's work is good enough, it would probably be better spending the money on finding a traditional agent and publisher, but if no one is interested because of content, or limited sales potential, this type of service may be the answer.
